My Design Principles
A small insight into how I approach design, both as an individual and as a creative leader.
Function informs form
If the consumer expects it to work one way and it doesn't, we've missed the mark. A user-centric approach ensures we deliver expected behaviors in delightful and meaningful ways, without distracting or wasting the user's time.
Failure is growth
Test, build your research foundation, and iterate continuously. But don’t let the hunt for "perfect" slow down production. Got it wrong? That's ok, learn from it. Collect the data, understand what didn’t work, fix it, ship it, and repeat. Fail fast, learn, and become a better designer.
Remember the user
Designing without considering users is like shouting into the wind: no one else knows it's happening. Understand your users' pain points and goals to pre-empt their needs. Design is communication, and it works best when you know your audience and how to speak to them.
